Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu Tanılı ve Normal Gelişim Gösteren 9-12 Yaş Grubu Çocuğa Sahip Annelerin Çocuk Yetiştirme Tutumlarının İncelenmesia

The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of the mothers of children aged 9-12 years diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and normal development (ND). The study group consisted of 160 mothers who have children with normal development (n=90) and autism spectrum disorder (n=70). In order to collect the data, the Parental Attitude Scale (PAS)-C Form was used. Mann Whitney-U test and Kruskal Wallis-H test were used for the analysis of the data. As a result of the study; It found that mothers with ND children were more oppressive / authoritarian than mothers with ASD children. University graduate, mothers with children diagnosed with ASD and middle incomes were more oppressive / authoritarian. It found that mothers with ASD diagnosed and single child were more tolerant and oppressive / authoritarian attitude towards children.

etalanguage and sensory sub-modalities in mental training techniques through neurolinguistic programming

Introduction and theme actuality: this study is part of a larger work, which involves increasing sporting performance by applying mental training techniques, special techniques of neurolinguistic programming (NLP). Purpose of study and hypothesis: if ideomotor representations of athletes are completed with multiple sensations of all sensory sub-modalities such as visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, olfactory and gustatory, the possibility of applying the techniques of NLP will have more effective results. We have studied the relationship between sensory sub-modalities, in accordance with the Bandler and Thomson (2012) and application of Jacobson (2011). Methods and material: two records were made by using two tests, test 1 and test 2, on master students of the 'Babes-Bolyai' University Cluj-Napoca, from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. The statistical indicators were calculated on elements of descriptive statistics and the data are presented using indicators of centrality, location and distribution. Statistical analysis of the non-parametric Wilcoxon test was used for sample pairs. Discussions and findings: to pinpoint the correlation between the two variables, we used the Spearman rank correlation coefficient (Ï). Statistical analysis was performed using the correlation coefficients of Colton's rule. No statistically significant differences were found (p > 0.05) in the statistical analysis because of the short timeframe, but there are many good and very good correlations at both tests, between the values of the items studied. Conclusions and recommendations: we want to continue with this study because the time difference between T1 and T2 was 3 months and we want to extend this study to a minimum of 6 months. All sensory sub-modalities are particularly important in achieving ideomotor representations underlying mental training.

Deneysel Hayvan Çalışmalarında Robot Kullanımı

The use of robots in experimental psychology and behavioral neuroscience is emerging as a fundamental method in behavioral experiments using animal models. Utilizing robots in animal experiments provides a substantial advantage for delivering specific stimuli to animals in a selective manner, teaching them different and relatively difficult behaviors, and manipulating group activity. In addition to using individual robots and animals together in behavioral paradigms, biohybrid organisms are created by integrating certain robotic systems with animals. Enabling animals to be controlled by external inputs like robots and enabling robots to be controlled by animals lead to the development of new experimental methods in behavioral animal studies. In addition, artificial intelligence and robotic learning models utilize animal behavior and basic working principles of the nervous system, and the emerging technology can be used in behavioral testing. This review investigates the use of robots and animals in experimental psychology and behavioral neuroscience under three headings. Behavioral tasks that contain animal-robot interactions (1) are discussed, together with biohybrid organisms created by integrating robots into the animals (2) and biology-inspired robotic systems (3). The theoretical and technical contributions of this novel technology and the resulting applications are evaluated.

Language use of patients with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease: An analysis of basic sentences

Alzheimer's disease (AD) which is the most common cause of dementia, has two subtypes: early-onset and late-onset AD. Early-onset AD affects people younger than age 65 and memory dysfunction, cognitive impairment, executive dysfunction and language problems are relatively more common on patients with early-onset AD. Based on the language disturbances, the aim of this study is to examine basic sentences of patients with early-onset AD by using four different language tests and to compare all the results with a control group. Considering the power analyses, 23 patients with early-onset AD from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology and an age/education-matched control group are included in this study. The data were analyzed using t test and Mann-Whitney U test. It was found that patients with early-onset AD used more basic sentences in Random Speech test compared to the control group. The other finding was about the nominal and the verbal sentences. It was revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between the patients with earlyonset AD and the control group in terms of nominal sentences in the Picnic Picture description test, Cookie Theft Picture description test and the Story Picture Sequencing test. In terms of verbal sentences, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between the patients with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease and the control group in all language tests. In conclusion, the syntactic ability is preserved in AD. However, working memory problems can make the syntactic processing worse. Due to this process, patients with early-onset AD tend to use basic sentence structures more frequently.

Neuroetyka – mózg a moralność

Throughout the ages issues of morality have been connected with philosophy. Presently when a dynamic development of neurobiological research is observed, we are witnesses the formation of a new field of science – neuroethics, which shed new light on sphere of human morality. In this text I have tried to: 1) analysis of the issues connected with the formation of neuroethics and its research subject, and also: 2) present main results of researches into biological basis of morality. In the light of recent research reports I present such problem as: a) formulating moral judgments in perspective of activity of the brain’s centre of emotions, b) the role of neurons in the development of empathy and also neurophysiological basis of free will. To take up this subject is so important because the purpose of neuroscience researches in legal system, education, marketing and military may in near future change on our life.

Vilayanur S. Ramachandran and William Hirstein are the authors of the concept of a work of art understood as an exaggerated stimulus in the creative process. The aim of art, according to them, is (a) to show the essence of something in a perceptually accessible way, and (b) to evoke a strong reaction from the recipient. Scientists say that the aim of art is not to perfectly reproduce reality, but to present the very essence of an object, scene or event by exaggerating its most characteristic features, while ignoring non-essential features. The effect of this treatment is a super stimulus, which is a supernatural stimulus that does not exist in the real world. Researchers have proposed seven universal – evolutionarily and culturally – neurological laws of aesthetic experience in relation to the visual arts (painting and sculpture). I propose to extend the tool apparatus of neuroaesthetics from the area of unimodal arts to a work of film art. It is an interesting tool for research into film aesthetics and masterpieces. In this paper, I will discuss these laws and make a representative analysis of them in a visual case study of Michael Almereyda’s film Nadja (1994). The main goal of my work is to show the stricto naturalistic position. Man is not aware that the first stages of cognitive perception have a significant impact on his interest in art, what he pays attention to, and on aesthetic experiences on a sensual, unconscious level. It is an interdisciplinary attempt to provide consistency of research approaches in the humanities with the naturalistic one in the area of natural sciences, which shows that on some levels we are very similar to each other and only in the process of ontogenesis do we acquire individuality – that we are governed by universal laws, not only those related to ourindividual interests and tastes.

Just like any other activity that we undertake, the process of learning a foreign language involves a wide spectrum of emotions, ranging from those seen as negative, such as anxiety, boredom or shame, to those perceived as positive, such as enjoyment, love or curiosity. The present article offers a brief overview of empirical studies focusing on both sets of emotions, and makes the point that both of them should be taken into account in the language classroom. It also makes the point that extreme care should be taken when trying to intervene in the emotions manifested by learners and that there exists a close link between emotions experienced by learners and their teachers.

Test Oceny Ręki Asystującej (AHA) jako narzędzie diagnostyczno-terapeutyczne w edukacji włączającej dzieci z jednostronnymi niedowładami ręki

Cerebral palsy (CP), including hemiplegia, one of the most common causes of physical disability and manual dysfunction, is not classified as a disability but as requiring educational support. An efficient hand is not only a condition of acquiring one of the basic school skills – writing, but also of the self-service and independence of the student. Pedagogues and therapists conducting classes with children with a paresis of one hand (e.g. as a consequence of CP or brachial plexus) can use the Assistant Hand Assessment (AHA). This tool has a diagnostic and therapeutic character because it allows the initial state of functioning of the assistant and the final hand after the end of rehabilitation therapy to be determined. At the same time, the tool highlights areas of special attention, which allows one to design an effective therapeutic program. The test was used in practice by the authors to assess the initial state of the functioning of the assistant’s hand, the final state and to design therapy for three eleven-year-old boys with CP. The usefulness of the tool was demonstrated in case studies describing the results of the three-month treatment for each child. This description can be used as a diagnostic pattern, which is part of the multidisciplinary evaluation of the pupil’s performance level used in inclusive education. The concept of an assistive hand should also be learned by pre-school and early school education teachers who are shaping the key manual skills of the child (writing), as well as by psychologists and pedagogical therapists diagnosing the lateralization of the child for educational purposes.

Ucieleśnienie, neuronauki i literatura

In the text, I address the subject of neurocognitive science, art and literature in various perspectives, whose connecting point is the perspective of the experiencing subject and her embodiment. The embodied and involved subject reveals through her ailments and suffering dimensions of experience not always visible in the state of health and well-being. The starting point of my deliberations are issues in the field of neurocognitive science and neuroesthetics as the areas that attempt to explain the neurobiological mechanisms of perception of art and literature. Next, I refer to research in the field of neuroanthropology, through which the positive and creative dimensions of the illness experience are noticed. I also refer to psychopathology as an area that shows the dimensions of human experience in a much more fundamental way than it is able to show the experience of everyday life.

The article Art history and medicine concerns selected aspects of the Medicine in art exhibition, taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK) between 22nd April and 22nd October 2016. The author discusses the issue of medicine with regard to its mechanisms that let us create and perceive art. This reflection includes a historical overview of the “medically-oriented” art research. Another significant aspect constitutes the attempt to explain by the tools associated with neuroaesthetics, why the viewers are likely to look at some drastic images created by artists with such willingness and involvement. The analysis refers to texts by D. Freedberg, V. Gallese, A. Damasio, P. Przybysz, and others. It also includes interpretations of the photohraph Seated anatomical model by Zoe Leonard, as well as the Medical Kit installation by Wilhelm Sasnal.

Mit – umysł – rzeczywistość. Kognitywne uwarunkowania archaicznych form narracyjnych na przykładzie mitu

The article discusses the cognitive conditions of mythical narratives, especially their relationship with the architecture of the human mind and the processes of its evolutionary formation. The analyzed features are: a) a permanent arrangement of events (monomyth); b) a semiosis based on bricolage, and c) a counter-intuitive supernaturalism. The stability of the system of mythical events is related to the subjective significance of the elements of the chain of basic biological activities. The proposed explanation for bricolage is the embodied nature of the human mind. In combination with the archaic character of the myth, it translates tendency to code abstraction in specific objects. The presence of counter-intuitiveness in the myth is explained by the interaction between innate knowledge about ontological categories and cognitive fluidity, which allows to deformed them and the influence of what is counter-intuitiveness on the effectiveness of the cultural transmission of narrative containing it.

Mindfulness can be understood as a state, trait or practice. For this reason, there are many uncertainties that result mainly from the lack of precision regarding the mindfulness model. Similar ambiguities exist in the field of research tools to measure the mindfulness. As many researchers prove, these tools measure slightly different psychological constructs. For this reason researchers attempt to distinguish two different aspects of mindfulness, the trait and state, and on this basis develop more accurate research tools. This article is a review of existing measures of mindfulness, taking into account Polish adaptations, showing their specificity.

USING STRUCTURE GENERALIZATION SCHEMES IN THE TRAINING PROCESS AT HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Мета статті – дослідити методику використання структурно-узагальнюючих схем у навчальному процесі вищого медичного навчального закладу. Методи дослідження: системний аналіз, синтез та узагальнення. Наукова новизна. Вперше комплексно проаналізоване питання застосування структурно-узагальнюючих схем у навчальному процесі медичного вищого навчального закладу. Висновки. Структурноузагальнюючі схеми є одним із проявів пояснювальноілюстративного навчання, що рекомендуються багатьма вітчизняними та зарубіжними вченими. Структурно-узагальнюючі схеми демонструють зміст теми при оптимальному смисловому й інформаційному навантаженні, унаочнюють та спрощують для сприйняття складних блоків інформації. З огляду на інформатизацію суспільства, використання наочно-образної інформації все більш притаманне сучасній людині. Вони створюють цілісну картину матеріалу, враховуючи логіку, ієрархічність зв’язків між його частинами. Основними видами структурно-узагальнюючих схем є логічні ланцюги, логічні ланцюги зі зворотним зв’язком, циклічні та радіальні схеми, кластери, діаграми Венна-Ейлера, діаграма Ісікави, складноструктуровані схеми. Для створення вищевказаних схем доцільно використовувати можливості пакета Microsoft Office. Для створення найпростіших схем достатніми є можливості текстового процесора – використання вбудованих фігур. Складно структуровані схеми, що включають елементи електронних таблиць, формул, баз даних, рисунків, використовують редактор векторної графіки MS Visio. Можливості редактора дозволяють створювати, редагувати організаційні діаграми, плани, блок схеми у динамічному взаємозв’язку з іншими програмами пакета Microsoft.

Využitie kresby pri ťažkostiach v písaní

Drawing requires the operation of a complex of mechanisms that are also involved in the acquisition of writing. Based on neuropsychological analysis, it is possible to identify weakened mechanisms that can cause some problems in initial writing. Targeted intervention through repetition of drawing has potential to eliminate the dysfunction of neuropsychological indicators of difficulties of a child with a developmental writing disorder. This contribution is a partial output of the project Kega č. 002UK-4/2020 Supporting a Child with Impaired Sensory Processing Through Multisensory Environment.
