Projekt Nacionalnog izvještaja, izrađen pod vodstvom sociologa kulture prof. dr Vjerana Katunarića Vijeće Europe prihvatilo je vrlo dobro i ocijenilo primjernim. [...]

Transport infrastructure is necessary for the proper functioning of the economy and performs a key role in its development. In this paper particular attention was paid to the development of a linear road transport infrastructure. The research is based on the analysis of statistical data from the databases of the Eurostat and the Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS). The values of road density ratios, which are expressed in kilometers of roads per 100 km2 of the surface area, point to the dominance of Małopolskie Voivodeship over the national average. In respect of annual increases in the length of motorways and expressways, Małopolskie ranks high among western voivodeships, and exceeds the average annual domestic increase by 0.3 km of motorway/ /expressway section. The density of railroads is high – in this aspect only south-western voivodeships rank higher than Małopolskie Voivodship. Water transport in this region was limited to the operation of one waterway. Air transport in the voivodeship is based on the operation of one regional airport in Kraków-Balice.

A review is given from the beginning of psychoanalysis till our days. The main research projects till 1991. that had been conducted according to model of ‘unified science’ are reported. The major research contributions and shortcomings are given and Pfeffer methodology developed exclusively for psychoanalysis is specifically discussed. Further, two contemporary researches are reported that correct the shortcomings of earlier researches due to the use of model of ‘pluralism of science’ and some new methodological innovations (for example, ‘unfolded panel’ design). In addition, the main results of two contemporary researches are given.

The article applies the concept of anchoring, defined as the process of searching for footholds and points of reference which allows individuals to acquire socio-psychological stability and security and function effectively in a new environment, to explore complex, multidimensional and flexible adaptation and settlement processes among migrants from Ukraine in Poland. Based on 40 in-depth interviews and questionnaires with migrants resident in Warsaw and its vicinity, we argue that the traditional categories employed for analysing migrants’ adaptation and settlement such as ‘integration’ or ‘assimilation’ are not always adequate to capture the way of functioning and experience of contemporary Ukrainian migrants. Rather than traditional categories, we propose to apply the concept of anchoring which enables us to capture Ukrainians’ ‘fluid’ migration, drifting lives and complex identities as well as mechanisms of settling down in terms of searching for relative stability rather than putting down roots. The paper discusses the ambiguous position of Ukrainian migrants in Poland constructed as neitherstrangers nor the same, gives insight into their drifting lives and illuminates ways of coping with temporariness and establishing anchors to provide a sense of stability and security. This approach, linking identity, security and incorporation, emphasises, on the one hand, the psychological and emotional aspects of establishing new footholds and, on the other hand, tangible anchors and structural constraints. Its added value lies in the fact that it allows for the complexity, simultaneity and changeability of anchoring and the reverse processes of un-anchoring to be included.

The study analyzes the image of the child in the media contents intended for adult audiences in Serbia, considering the importance of the role media play in shaping public opinion on children, as well as the influence of such public opinion on adults' attitudes, decisions and actions concerning children. The study focuses on visibility and portrayal of children in the media, in order to determine to what extent children are present in them, and in what way. Relevant data were collected for three media - press, radio and television - mostly covering the entire territory of Serbia, over two consecutive months (April – May 2001). Content analysis revealed that children are not only underrepresented, but also misrepresented, in Serbian media.

The subject of this paper is the comparison of the results of the survey of public opinion before and after the change of the regime in Serbia as of 5th October 2000. Both researches (May 2000 and June 2001) were field researches, reaching for households, using random sample of the citizens of Serbia, without Kosovo. The obtained results show that the change of regime in Serbia was followed with the change in the sense of decreased expression of authoritarianism and ethnocentrism after one year of democratic rule. However, the question which still remains is - whether the registered change is the result of social-political circumstances, and whether it is the reflection of essential changes of value systems, or just different experience of social desirability of particular attitudes.

Research is dealing with the following: Do men and women differ in level or structure of the achievement motive? Are level of education and age significant factors in differentiation of young concerning the level of achievement motive? Do such values as collectivism/individualism and conservativism/radicalism correlate with the person`s tendency to succeed? Sample was 382 men and women, average age of 21 and different levels of education. Scale MOP 2002 (Francesko, Mihic, Bala) has been applied for the achievement motive measurement; level of collectivism/individualism has been measured by KOIN2002 (Kodzopeljic, Sakotic, Janicic) and for the dimension conservativism/radicalism scale KORA2002 (Janicic, Majstorovic, Genc) has been used. All scales mentioned have very good metric characteristics. Results show that men and women do not differ significantly concerning the score at the achievement motive scale, but they do differ in two factors that make this motive. Women show more persistency in achieving the aim and more often, compared to men, find pleasure in achieving those aims. Concerning the level of education, only one component (competition) showed relevant differences. Younger and less educated people showed higher tendency to compete. Total score at the MOP2002 scale correlates positively with the total score at the conservativism scale; also, correlation has been found between components of these two dispositions.

Although wine culture is quite a new phenomenon in Poland, Polish wine blogs on the Internet are numerous, and a specific wine language is rapidly emerging. The Polish lexical field of taste is rather poor compared to other perceptual fields. It is obvious that the limited lexical repertoire does not suffice to describe such a multidimensional experience as wine tasting. Polish wine discourse is permeated with various kinds of metaphors, starting from basic terms like ciało wina ‘the body of a wine,’ through more creative, but still lexicalised metaphors, e.g. leciutka nuta korkowa ‘a light note of the cork,’ to intricate, elaborated, semi-narrative metaphors, e.g. Tyle innych burgundów z lat 90-tych cierpi na sklerozę i haluksy ‘So many other burgundies from the 1990s suffer from sclerosis and bunions.’ A number of metaphoric wine terms have of course been borrowed from French or English, but there are also many new metaphors, specific for the Polish language and culture. The material for the analysis consists of blog excerpts taken from “Synamet”—a corpus of synesthetic metaphors in Polish. The paper aims at examining taste metaphors that are used in Polish wine blogs and proposing a preliminary typology of metaphors recurring in wine discourse.

ConIFA, independent football confederation, brings together teams from "minority" regions or states that are neither recognized by the international community nor by F.I.F.A. We analyze why the majority of the media is so discreet about it and how ConIFA manages its media portrayal to become more part of the public space. We worked on the Europresse database, which provided the titles of European newspapers from 2006 to 2016, from the birth of ConIFA to the latest Football World Cup in date.
