The professions in the economic field, especially accounting, belong to an area where most of the activities are suitable for digitalization, and more and more companies are interested to move towards efficiency in this segment in order to benefit by reducing the costs for obtaining the highest possible performance. The special current context, namely the health crisis caused by the Covid pandemic transformed immediately afterwards into a global economic crisis, has attracted countless restrictions on population movement while social distancing has led the business and political environment to put a special emphasis on digitalization. In is well known and no longer stranger for anyone that repetitive actions in a company should be replaced by automated processes, so as to reduce the inevitable human errors, but also to make the activity as efficient as possible. The use of technology and digitalization does not mean that the professions of economists, accounting experts, will disappear and be replaced by technology. On the contrary, their role will be transformed into the voice of experts who makes checks and gives advice to entrepreneurs, an expert who will be relieved by technology of repetitive tasks.Digitization will lead to major changes so that the activities carried out by professionals in the economic field will be interdependent with the use of sophisticated computer systems and artificial intelligence to analyze, report and develop the desired results. The need for digital skills for students with economic profile is essential for their integration into the labor market.

The process of globalization provides the conditions of the international spread of English as a "lingua franca"; in this context our language asserts its capacity to accept a large number of English loans and highlights its creativity through innovations arising from usage. While some of these loans enter into a process of adaptation and assimilation in the Romanian language, others maintain their English form in both spelling and pronunciation. But how strong is the need to borrow, and how often the Romanian recipient language gives up its own vocabulary items in favour of the foreign ones? This article is concerned with the use of English in Romanian magazines. In order to support my research, I studied five Romanian magazines, (Capital, Casa Lux, Unica, Click! Sănătate, Auto Motor și Sport), which due to their uninterrupted circulation and broad coverage in terms of topics discussed, give a reliable picture of the on-going contact between English and Romanian. The intention of my analysis was to see which of the English words found in the corpus are assimilated and recorded in Romanian dictionaries and under what category of Anglicisms (luxury or necessary) they fall, and, finally, to list their frequency.

Based on Publons and the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) data, we analyze the state of peer-review procedures' implementation in Bulgarian SSH (Social Sciences and Humanities) scholarly journals. We establish the beginning of Bulgarian journals' transformation and the application of a specific peer-review Bulgarian model in terms of attracting foreign reviewers. At the same time, compared with our neighbouring countries, an apparent abandonment and lack of evaluation procedures' verification is observed. The paper also justifies the need to improve the higher education policy in introducing adequate criteria tracking the status and actual implementation of peer review in scientific periodicals.

This article discusses the original translation style of St. Euthymius the Athonite (10th11th centuries), a great Georgian monk working in the Iviron Monastery of Athos (Greece), which was called an ‘omission-addition style’ in the scientific literature, and was entirely conditioned not by linguistic but by cultural-religious context. The main goal of the article is to examine that unique phenomenon we are dealing with in the form of his translations, that sheds light on how a translator may turn linguistic tools into cultural vectors of a society, a country, determining the main path for spiritual and intellectual development of the nation in a particular historical epoch and along the centuries. From the rich Greek theological literature, Euthymius the Athonite selected for translation those works that would best reflect the knowledge accumulated in that field at the time, and presented them to Georgian readers, still less knowledgeable in theological matters, in such a way that would best suit them and strengthen their Christian faith, on the one hand, and introduce them to the advanced Western thought, on the other. Research focus is on the translations of theological content. Based on the comparative analysis of the Greek-Georgian texts, I examine those methods and means that Euthymius the Athonite used to keep the Georgian nation from possible religious threats, misunderstandings, and difficulties that accompanied the misinterpretation of religious texts in the Middle Ages. Euthymius the Athonite laid a solid foundation for the process of Europeanization of Georgian literature and culture, which his descendants continued with dignity.
