With the help of the contrastive and descriptive method, we presented the lexical-semantic group of verbs of thinking. This scientific work is a novelty in Ruthenian literature, because unlike Russian literature, we don't find works on a given topic. The paper consists of five parts. The first part of these work describes the extent to which research on a given topic is present in Ruthenian and Russian literature. After a brief overview of the diachronic aspect, we have presented the main characteristics of this group of verbs. Next, we have shown their equivalents in the Ruthenian language through the classification of Russian verbs of thinking. Through the analysis, we noticed that this group of verbs is equally frequent in both languages. The importance of this research is its results, which can be used in teaching Ruthenian, but also Russian as a foreign language, because in that way the lexical-semantic group of verbs of thinking in Russian and Ruthenian grammar could be presented with other lexical-semantic groups of verbs.

Dušan Kovačević is considered to be one of the most influential Serbian playwrights. The aim of this study is to give a chronological overview of Kovačević’s complete body of work, which mainly consists of theatre plays. The paper has been divided into two parts. The first part deals with chronological outline of Kovačević’s work, which includes not only all of the available editions of his literary work but also interviews, acceptance speeches, translations etc. The second part is set out to determine all of the premieres including information about theatre director and time and place the premiere was staged. This body of information then enables further examination of the impact his work has had over the years i.e. which of his plays are considered to be a classic (possibly including them in school required reads) or the mere reception and popularity of certain plays in certain times.

Water quality is one of the most important variables impacting human life. Generally, water quality measurements must be conducted on-site. If the region to be investigated is large, several test locations will be required. Repeated evaluations of water quality will be complicated and time-consuming. Therefore, a real-time water quality monitoring system is required to protect and monitor the water in order to take proactive measures for contamination. This project focuses on the aforementioned concerns and uses LoRa technology and the Node-RED application to develop environmental sensors that monitor and display water quality. It is the measurement and collection of data on water quality parameters, including temperature, electric conductivity, pH, air quality, and turbidity, according to the region requiring analysis. The microcontroller processes the sensor data before transmitting it via the wireless network to the database, where it is displayed on the Node-RED dashboard. The experimental results demonstrated that a range of 2.0 km can be used to transmit information in areas where LoRa technology encounters obstacles. Furthermore, the IoT-based monitoring system is able to monitor water quality in real time and display a Node-RED dashboard. It was determined that usability assessments were more efficient and convenient.

This paper analyzes the novel Galapagosby Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. in its thematic and formal dimensions. The author aims, first, to identify the work’sreferences to scientific issues concerning Darwin’s theoryof evolution andso-called “social Darwinism.” Secondly, he identifies the novel’s strictly literary references, the citation of which allows him to draw conclusions about the nature of its intertextuality. Of particular relevance here is the relationship of the Galapagos with the biblical myth of the Flood. As a result, the author of the article substantiates the hypothesis that Vonnegut consistently cultivates, for deeply didactic purposes, postmodern metafiction with a moralistic message.

The authors reviewed the foreign direct investment in Baltic countries. The theoretical part of the paper systemizes essential driving forces (elements) of FDI studies and the methods most common in FDI studies; the hierarchy of qualitative methods and models is presented. Three-tier methodology is suggested. The first tier (or level) represents a mathematical approach towards interconnections between FDI variables. The second tier of methodology is dedicated to sector analysis and benchmarking. The third tier targets revising economic variables and their links with variables representing FDI. The suggested approach could be applied for similar analysis. The authors have constructed a correlation matrix. The results of the analyzed variables via the dynamic regression approach show that the strongest links among variables appeared in several-year periods. The obtained results may have significant policy implication.
