The north east part of the Carpathian Basin is a part of the most important transport corridor of EU, furthermore there is a diverse area both from the point of view of natural and social endowments as well. The most important value of the underdeveloped areas from the point of view of economy is its capabilities concerning transport geography and tourism. Here the borders of five countries (of wich 4 are members of EU) meet each other within a very small range which is a serious possibility from the point of view of transport corridor development both in the direction of northeast-south west and north-south. Nevertheless it is also important that transport and logistics should not endanger the unique natural and ethnographical values of the region. Based on the tourism flow we can state that the Hungarian side of the region possesses adequate attractions, however these advantages are not yet successfully utilised. The biggest opportunity of the region is to attract greater number of guests from the neighbouring countries.

The researches of Pfeffer and Fong (2002) indicate, that the business qualifications are not effective enough. Neither having the MBA diploma, nor the grades earned in courses are consistent with the future career success. All this raises the question, how efficiently prepare the schools their students? The research pointed out, that in business higher educational training, there is no measurable data available on the students’ know-how, abilities, competencies and practical experiences on the given specialty. In my publication I am looking to answer the following questions: how can the effectiveness of the students’ knowledge management be revised, what is the key of maximalizing student-accomplishment?

The erosion is one of the most important problem in the study area of Zlatna basin. Due to this problems of the landfill erosion -it becomes necessary to analyze some factors according to this pattern. In the present paper we intend to establish some methods whom results which will be used as base in the erosion assessment. For an estimation of erosion for this area we were using as indicator the specific discharge of alluvial soil from the main collector of the area’s hydrographic system, the average water discharge - as outputs and the precipitation’s -as inputs of the system. Using neuronal networks our aim is to establish a model which is helpful in the estimation and forecasting the evolution of the factors which determine the dynamic and efficiency of the erosion. This main factors are the average water discharge and the average water discharge. As it follows we wish to present some spatial data related to the study area and the methods and results using this black box model, in forecasting the most essential factors.

Sustainable development is a complex and fundamental concept in current policy. It allows a nation to plan, to implement and monitor the progress of society, in view of achieving long-term objectives, of meeting the demands of the present generation without preventing the future generations from satisfying their own needs. The Romanian national sustainable development strategy was finalized in 1999 by a work group created through the Government Decision no. 305/1999. Although written in a participative manner, the strategy did not stipulate the adequate mechanism for implementation monitoring which can support its periodical revision. The present paper aims at highlighting the general lines that Romania, as a member state of the European Union, must consider. European developments intend to identify and extend actions that can lead to an improvement in life quality for the present and future generations, by sustainable communities that are capable of managing and using resources efficiently and of exploiting the ecological and social innovating potential of economy, thus ensuring prosperity, environmental protection and social cohesion.

In the current state of archaeological research, each GIS project is a unique case, according to the purpose of the research, the used methods and techniques, the nature and complexity of the archaeological site, the requirements of the archaeologist. Thus, working methods and the exploitation of a GIS system in archaeology are not standardized. Therefore, many times, correlating the information which is of interest for the specialist, on wider spaces (starting from regional level until the European space) is hard and difficult to interpret.

Against the background of some special geological and climatic conditions, the Trascău Montains are characerized by a lot of preservation objectives wich have but partiaeally legal protection now. The 53 or even more species of preserving interest, the large areas rocky habitats, some of wich ar built on endemic plants, the cowntless protected natural areas of the national interest and the unique cultural landscape, all of them, justefy that a great part of this mountains region deserves to be made know as, a natural park. Tronghout this paper we'll have in view, the identiphication of the preservation objectives in the Trascău Mountains between the Ampoi and Arie?, the sizing of the natural park on the heisis of the necessitis of a key species and its connecting to the other protected natural areas of national and communitar interest. We'll alsow argue the necessity of the administration of the natural capital under the form of a natural park.

The exploitation of salt in Ocna Mures began while the appearance of man in this region, given the importance of salt in human nutrition. In Roman times, Salinae was a settlementof particular importance, the Roman road on the left side of Mures, from Apulum and Brucla (Aiud), reaching this settlement. A quantum leap occurred after 1792, when, after ing. Ruszbatzky research (1791-1793), led by engineer Mészáros Gy., begin large-scale operation in rooms as reverse funnel (cone), or T. paralelipipedon. The human impact on the quality of salt massif occurred with the introduction of technology to exploit the salt wet with wells, in 1952. Ocna Mures mine was the first such operation, followed by Ocnele Mari and Târgu Ocna. Human impact on the environment started to produce massive changes in the structure salifer consistency, the effects will take place in time, knowing that the functional social-eonomic system comes at a time, in a state of involution, the operation being nonorganized at the principle of sustainable development.

The evolution of annual global solar radiation (GSR) and temperature trends in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, was analyzed for the period 1921 to 2009. Different statistical procedures like t-test, regression models, Runs test and cumulative curve of the radiation and precipitation standardized anomaly were used to find the most appropriate expression of the annual mean GSR and temperature interannual evolution. In order to sustain the results from Cluj-Napoca, we also used data from two neighboring stations, namely Bistrita and Sibiu. The parametric analysis with regression models shows significant increasing trends, the quadratic trend model providing a better fit than the linear and exponential models. According to the quadratic model, the GSR increased with 8.419 W/m2 at Cluj-Napoca, 9.443 W/m2 at Bistrita and 2.429 W/m2 at Sibiu, while the temperature increased with 0.4°C at Cluj-Napoca and 0.6°C at Bistri?a and decreased with 0.2°C at Sibiu. It is the most probably that this increasing in GSR and increasing/decreasing of temperature is rather the ascensional or descensinal parts of some natural micro-oscillations due to the natural climate variability or solar variations.

All economic activities, especially industrial activities have the direct goal to help increasing the quality of life of our society. Beside positive direct and desired effects of industrial activities these have also negative, undesired and sometimes unthinkable effects on the environment and society. After the Conference for Environment in Stockholm in 1972 it was understood that besides wanted effects of technological progress, undesired negative effects can appear. After this time the environmental awareness in the western world began changing. The discussions in 1992 during the Rio-Conference for Environment and Development, especially for establishing the Agenda 21 activities, succeeded in emphasizing the necessity of taking into account the environmental impacts of human activities. Nowadays we confront us with a series of global problems, not only environmental ones, which have been collected by the Club of Rome under the concept of the "World Problematique".

Since the industrial revolution, human nature, his environment, even, and even his own hand, damaging more than ever. Technological advances, the world's population, the demand for new product production and institutionalization, appears dependent on them, and also further increases with increasing damage to the environment. Of course, only the factories are not limited to damages to the environment, but all kinds of industry production and wide use of chemical substances is the use of raw materials and emissions of a large amount of waste material as a result of their destructive nature and the environment is much more variety of plants, a little more about environmental pollution pushing forward. In this paper, the environmental damage caused by factories, and this issue will be discussed as the cause of environmental pollution, air, water, noise pollution, as well as the size of the image will be discussed.
