Neo-liberal globalization. Transformation of societies and states in the second era of modernism (the second era of globalization)
Disputes over globalization have been intensified in various issues. One of the disputes deals with the history of globalization. Is globalization an old or a completely new process? If it is an old process, what differentiates it from the current process of globalizations or the overall integration of the world and human society in a single whole? Of course, there are different answers to this. The first approach points out that globalization is as old as the human race. The others believe it is a new process, influenced by neo-liberal values and new information technologies development enabling this type of globalization, a type beyond all historical types, scarcely comparable with any so far known attempts to globalize economy, politics and culture.
