THE HISTORICAL TRUTH OF THE GREAT RELIGIOUS DIVISION FROM ARBËR TO ALBANIANS

THE HISTORICAL TRUTH OF THE GREAT RELIGIOUS DIVISION FROM ARBËR TO ALBANIANS

Author(s): Pirro PRIFTI / Language(s): English / Issue: 19-20/2023

Keywords: unravel; Albanians; Pandora's

To unravel the complex history of the Albanians, the so-called Pandora's Box has already been opened so as not to be closed until the truth is revealed. From the invasion of Albania by the Turkish empire in 1478 and until about 1660-1703, in addition to the military and political occupation, began to outline some new strata in the then population, strata of population that spoke Albanian or Albanian-speaking, because they were colonists who came from areas of the Turkish Empire, but Muslim, native converted to Islam with military-political positions and after them were converted en masse and peasants, but remained orthodox most of the Orthodox religion, either in the north of the Albanian lands or in the middle lands, and whether in the south. Thus, under Turkish pressure, which implemented the special anti-Arbëresh-Epirote strategy, at the end of the 17th century - beginning of the 18th century, there was a tragic spiritual and religious division of the Albanian-speaking population with all the consequences that are still felt today. due to religious and tradicional dichotomy. So, the problem of the unification of the Albanian lands and in general of the Albanian people is not so easy, but in the first place it requires some preconditions and clarification of the truth, no matter how difficult or easy it may seem. This fact can also be explained with the phrase of Faik Konica that he showed; "When I started the fight for the liberation of Albania twenty-five years ago, I remembered as a very young man that the problem was only a problem of nationality, that is, that if he managed to fully awaken the sense of nationality in the hearts of Albanians, the establishment of a free Albania, it was a finished job as soon as the opportunity arose. When I thought more, for fifteen years now, I realized that the problem of Albania rather than national was a moral problem .. In other words this people in order to be saved, he needs, first of all, to be trained and to elevate his character, to soften and purify his heart..` Many, especially those of the type Koço Danaj, or the Albanian AK, or Kosovar self-determination, radicals seeking with pathos and rage the return of the past of `Jasha Padishah`, seek the unification of Albanian lands as if it were just a broken piece of crystal that can be easily glued.

Author(s): Binti Kurniati,Yuliani Setia Dewi,Alfian Futuhul Hadi / Language(s): English / Issue: 3/2023

Keywords: Crime; GWR; GWPR; GW-RF; multicollinearity; spatial heterogeneity

Crime includes all kinds of harmful acts that violate the laws in force in Indonesia as well as social and religious norms. The crime total is the number of incidents reported to the police, obtained from public reports and events where the perpetrators were caught red-handed by the police. We can use the Poisson model to analyze the data, but the existence of spatial heterogeneity in the data makes the model less accurate. This research investigates the methods when there is spatial heterogeneity in the data by using Geographically weighted regression (GWR), Geographically Weighted Poisson Regression (GWPR) and Geographically Weighted Random Forest (GW-RF). We compare the GWR, GWPR, and GW-RF models for criminal cases in East Java in handling multicollinearity in the data. The results of this study indicate that the GW-RF model is better for modeling criminal cases with the smallest RMSE and MAPE values and an R-Square value close to 1. Based on the three most important variables in each location, they form six groups of regencies/cities in East Java, Indonesia. The variables vary between groups and the poverty severity index is not included in the three most important variables in all locations.

Keywords: collaboration gamification; intelligent system; Silaturrahmi culture; TAM

This study evaluated the technology acceptance level of the proposed collaboration gamification framework based on the cultural principle "Silaturrahmi" and intelligent system (ISb-GM). This study uses the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) to evaluate user acceptance of the ISb-GM framework by adding four attributes from the collaboration's parameter. 36 hypotheses are formulated with a sample of 293 respondents. Proving the hypothesis resulted in 29 hypotheses being accepted, while seven were rejected. These results suggest that the proposed framework is generally accepted. In comparison, the rejected hypothesis informs that technology needs to be applied more extended and continuously so that users can learn more about it and feel the benefits. This research has two implications. Firstly, SME developers can consider and implement this proposed framework in their communities to improve collaboration performance. Second, gamification technology developers can consider and improvise proposed gamification mechanics to develop collaboration mechanics for various fields.

Suppressing the Memory of Slovak Panslavism: The Historiographical Misrepresentation of Kollár and Štúr

Author(s): Alexander Maxwell / Language(s): English / Issue: 2/2023

Keywords: Panslavism; Slovak history; Slavic Languages; Linguistic Classification;

In the first half of the nineteenth century, intellectuals from northern Hungary usually believed in a single Slavic nation speaking a single language. They imagined Slovaks not as a nation but as a “tribe” of the Slavic nation, and Slovak as a “dialect” or even a “subdialect” of the Slavic language. Modern historians and linguists, however, are so extraordinarily unwilling to acknowledge nineteenth-century Panslavism that many falsify primary source quotations, particularly as concerns the language/dialect dichotomy which features prominently in Panslav linguistic thought: where historical actors refer to a “dialect”, modern scholars substitute the term “language”. The end result is to transform Panslavs into particularist Slovak nationalists. This paper documents the Panslavism of Jan Kollár and Ľudovít Štúr, documents the misrepresentation of their ideas in recent historiography, and speculates why so many scholars refuse to acknowledge past Panslavism.

Keywords: Ludevít Štúr; Nárečja; Rozličnorečja; Pan-Slavism; Slovak Patriotism;

This article has been written in response to Alexander Maxwell’s paper published in this issue of the Historický časopis. Based on an in-depth reading of Ludevít Štúr’s Nárečja slovenskuo alebo potreba písaňja v tomto nárečí, it is here demonstrated that the author of the mentioned paper creates an erroneous interpretation of Štúr’s term nárečja, when equating it with the modern term dialect or nárečie. What present-day linguists call dialect was by Štúr unambiguously denoted as rozličnorečja. Moreover, it is evident from Štúr’s Nárečja slovenskuo that Štúr cannot be regarded exlusively as a Pan-Slav (in the sense of an advocate of the All-Slav idea), since at the same time he was not only a Slovak patriot, but also a Pan-Humanist.

Author(s): Željka Marčinko Trkulja,Jasmina Dlačić,Dinko Primorac / Language(s): English / Issue: 1/2023

Keywords: Consumer engagement; Project needs; Sports marketing; Loyalty

A sport management project refers to a venture or an initiative undertaken by a sports organization, team, or club to improve the overall performance and success of their operations. These projects can include a different range of activities, such as developing and implementing new strategies, launching new programs, creating a new fan engagement program to increase support and loyalty, and more. This study examines the influence of sport’s fan engagement on trust, satisfaction, and loyalty in sports club social networks. Our findings suggest that both fan identification with the sports club's brand and motivation play significant roles in determining the level of engagement. Specifically, we have found that consumers who have a strong identification with the club and are extrinsically motivated to engage with the club's social network exhibit higher levels of trust, satisfaction, and loyalty. These results underscore the importance of fostering a strong sense of identification and motivation among fans in order to promote positive consumer attitudes towards sports club social networks. The paper provides recommendations for sports club marketing managers on how to use social networks to improve project’s success.

The modern world lives in a digital transformation. Many researchers consider this period to be a new technological paradigm or a digital economy. The widespread digitalisation of production and management processes not only affects the processes of global globalization, but also contributes to the rapid growth of the economy, enhancing living standards. While the global economy identifies some common characteristics of the development of the digital economy, there is no consistent methodological approach. The Russian Federation in the world scores to evaluate the development of the digital economy, in general, is in the group of developing countries. Therefore, at the state level, the digital transformation is recognized as a strategic priority for Russia's developers. Since 2014, the development strategy of Russia has been the National Technology Initiative (NTI), a long-term program to create new markets and lay the groundwork for Russia's technological leadership by 2035. Its first steps served as a foundation for the adoption of the national project “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. This study analyses the implementation of joint government and corporate efforts in this direction. It was revealed that the main NTI operators are both state institutions (state investment bank “Bank VEB”, “Innovation Promotion Fund”), and business partially government-owned communities – Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Russian Venture Company (RVC). Based on the analysis of NTI roadmaps and events, a model of institutions to support the digital economy in Russia has been built. The conclusion concerns the overall support of the State during the construction of an ecosystem of technological entrepreneurship. At the same time, there is a certain differentiation of the NTI infrastructure, tending towards large subjects of the Russian Federation with a high level of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) development - Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Project Performance in the Global Construction Industry during the Covid-19 Era

Author(s): Ejike Lucky Chukwu,Umaru Mustapha Zubairu / Language(s): English / Issue: 1/2023

Keywords: Construction industry; Project performance; Covid-19 pandemic; Systematic review

The Covid-19 global pandemic has had profound impact on the way all industries operate now, and the construction industry is no exception. Given the importance of this industry in providing critical infrastructure needed to enhance the quality of life of all global citizens, this paper presented the results of a systematic review of empirical studies that have investigated construction project performance over the Covid-19 era spanning from 2020 to 2023. The Systematic Quantitative Assessment Technique was used to identify and assess 54 empirical articles from six of the most renowned academic publishers in order to answer three important research questions: 1) What was the geographical spread of construction project performance articles from 2020-2023? 2) Which data collection methods were utilized by these articles? 3) What themes were investigated by these articles? The review revealed that Asia had the most representation while South America had no representation at all, thus representing a geographical gap which future studies should address. The review also revealed that most studies relied on surveys to collect project performance data with relatively fewer studies using qualitative methods or adopting a mixed methods approach, with this representing a methodological gap to be addressed by future studies. Finally, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the performance of construction firms was the most investigated theme, while the strategies firms can use to ‘future proof’ themselves against future pandemics or other unexpected disasters was the least investigated theme.
