Summary/Abstract: Being acquainted with foreignness this article invites the traveler to a fascinating journey of discovery and to numerous intercultural encounters. At the same time, dealing with travel reports, travelogues, travel literature offers intercultural access to different languages, literatures, and cultures and also generates different perceptions and insights in the reader, from which the reader can learn a lot about foreign cultures. The focus of the article is to prove that dealing with travel reports can also promote the acquisition of intercultural skills and intercultural learning.
