THE RESULTS OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH PERFORMED ON THE OCCASION OF THE RESTORATION OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR HEROES MONUMENT IN GALATA NEIGHBORHOOD OF IAȘI

Summary/Abstract: The study aims to present the conclusions resulted following the archaeological and anthropological research made for the restoration of the First World War Heroes Monument in Galata neighborhood of Iași. At the start of the restoration project, there was few information in literature from which it is not clearly outlined the situation of the monument and of the commemorative complex. The research led to the conclusion that several interventions were performed throughout time causing the reconfiguration of the commemorative complex, and that former soldiers as well as other people were buried within the complex.
