Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of professional activity of disabled people and examines the characteristics of this group in terms of factors such as age, education and level of disability. The most important international and domestic regulations concerning professional activity of the disabled are introduced, as well as selected actions undertaken by state authorities aimed at increasing professional activity of disabled people.
