Summary/Abstract: Modern mathematical education is aimed at developing mathematical thinking skills and using them to solve problems. Achieving these goals is connected with modifications of curricula, changes in methods and ways of working with students, which is a challenge for teachers, but also for their education systems and substantive support. Work on improving mathematics education is underway in many countries.
