Human capital and social capital in the Polish rural areas.

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to provide a diagnosis of human and social capital among rural inhabitants in Poland. The authors describe the non-material resources of the rural area dwellers in comparison with the members of other social groups. The analysis is based on the statistical data and other research. The outcome show that Poland’s EU membership has significantly influenced the levels of social and human capital in the rural areas.
