Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Along with technological developments and the process of globalization, the performance of employees in the tourism sector, which is a labor-intensive sector, directly affects the competition conditions. The service quality offered by businesses is the most important factor affecting customer satisfaction, which provides superiority in competition. The concept of motivation to improve and keep employees' behavior positive in the accommodation establishments where the labor factor is intense plays an important role. The aim of this study is to reveal the effects of employees' motivation level on organizational commitment and job performance. Design/methodology/approach – The relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the implementation of the research. From this point of view, the scale used to measure the motivation, organizational commitment and job performance of the employees was applied to 401 employees determined by simple random sampling method from the employees of the accommodation business operating in the province of Ankara. The questionnaire is composed of four parts including demographic characteristics organizational commitment scale, job performance scale and motivation scale. The SPSS (The Statistical Package for Social Science) program was used for data analysis and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, t-test and one way ANOVA were conducted during analysis. Findigs – As a result of the research, it was determined that there is a positive relationship between employee motivation and organizational commitment, and a positive relationship between employee motivation and job performance.
