Summary/Abstract: It is also called namazlağı, namazlaga among the people, in the Turkish dictionary, it is referred to as the post, carpet, kılım, mat, and prayer rug on which prayer is performed. It is important that the place of prayer is clean. For this reason, prayer sprepared for praying are used. Prayer stands are designed in sizes suitable for a person's use. Everyone' s prayer is different. In the field research conducted in Denizli Çameli district in 2019, hand-woven prayer rugs made in various techniques such as kilim, cicim, zili werefound. Prayer stands belonging to the Çameli region have been identified in houses and some mosques. Istar looms and shuttle looms were used in the construction of these weavings. The examined prayer rugs are 58-90 cm in widthand 113-170 cm in length, and these weavings are quite colorful. Red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow, black, pink, white, brown are among the color sused in weaving. When the surface schemes of prayer rooms are examined, although the cross-banded composition scheme is dominant in most examples, it is seen in different arrangements. Bıtıracık, pardı, foureyes, nine eyes shuttle, butterfly, lighter, snail, curved water, ribbon, frog, coach horn, prayer rug are the motifs seen in weaving samples. Today, kılım weaving is triedto be kept alive in some neighborhoods of Çameli district. In this study, it is aimed to examine 12 prayer samples with kilim, cicim and zili weaving techniques determined in Çameli region in terms of weaving technique, material used, color, motif and composition.
