Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt at an exploratory overview of selected thematic areas in the publications of Język Polski – one of the oldest Polish linguistic journals whose hundredth issue was released in 2020. The target of the query and a more detailed analysis was the presence of biblical themes in previous publications of the journal. On the basis of the collected material that consists of over one hundred publications, the main research domains were indicated, in which the linguistically understood biblical issues are represented on the pages of the journal. These include the following topics: 1) the language of Polish translations and paraphrases of the Bible, 2) the issues concerning the Polish biblical style and biblical stylization, 3) the phraseology of biblical origin and 4) other issues related to biblical Polish. Using the data, the author made an attempt at assessing the role of the journal Język Polski in the field of presentation and description of this part of linguistic and cultural heritage of the Polish language which originates from biblical tradition.
