Leadership and management in interorganizational networks

Summary/Abstract: Inter-organizational networks, especially those of a balanced character, require a special kind of management. Though an extensive bibliography can be easily found, the phenomenon has not yet been fully resolved. In general, the authors balance between the desire to find a more formalized way of solving management problems and the natural process of selecting network leaders. The purpose of the article is to present, basing on a literature review, the concept of a network and inter-organizational network leadership as well as showing the most probable directions of management theory development in the area.
