Summary/Abstract: The nature of eco-innovations is complex and difficult to define. Numerous interpretations stress their serious relation to the sustainable development, however, the Kierunki ewolucji w obszarze ekoinnowacji 617 interest in eco-innovations is dynamically changing. The scale of that interest delivers information on market trends, whereas the knowledge on this matter improves the precision of strategic management and probability of success in organization, including also regions which create their development policy. The scale of evolution in the field of eco-innovation has not been so far a subject of broader research. This work aims at fulfilling the cognitive gap by means of bibliometric analysis. The realized research enables identifying trajectories as well as intensity of elaborated evolution, in the context of environment protection and environmental technologies.
