Summary/Abstract: The regional development is determined by research and development policy oriented to innovations. It is often shaped by means of foresight, which identify and assess the determinants of innovativeness by means of SWOT. In traditional SWOT analysis, the crosscomparisons of various determinants, and also the identification of the dominant trends are difficult. The solution of this problem would be the standardization of the factors determining innovativeness. The aim of this study is the identification of standardized determinants of innovativeness based on the SWOT, developed by experts in foresight research for sustainable development of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The application of presented concept allowed to confirm the thesis about the possibility of indicating the dominant trends of development in various sectors.
