Agile manufacturing plant criterion – strategic business model in a knowledge enterprise

Summary/Abstract: According to the authors, the feature that allows to survive in these, undoubtedly difficult, times is agile manufacturing that provides the opportunity to promote goods produced in small quantities, at the rate of mass production. Consequently, more and more companies appreciate the business model based on knowledge, in which the reference point is agility. This is what the following article constitutes about, which is the aftermath of the deliberations of theorists and practitioners seeking to create such a business model that flexibly and continuously would respond to the challenges of volatility in demand, growing customer demands, and thus give opportunity for further development, which according to the authors, is, first of all, a quality phenomenon.
