Summary/Abstract: In general, researchers of old book in the Romanian area naturally turned attention to Romanian old book - local typographical items appeared during 1508 and 1830. This study draws attention to a collection of Romanian modern printings produced by the printing shops from Sibiu, Blaj and Buzau, between 1855 and 1874. Important is not only itemizing the existent copies but also their depiction; old books are not simple carriers of the printed text, certain parts - as it is the binding of book - are the outcomes of practicing some crafts in the Romanian area; last but not least, both the Romanian old and modern books have the attribute of historical documents due to the handwritten notes that we encounter on their leaves.
