Summary/Abstract: Often, restoration works carried out on old books come as a surprise to the team of restorers. It is also the case of the Inventory Book from 1699 dealing with the case of Cătălina parish (Covasna county) from whose binding were retrieved more fragments of old foreign printings, Latin texts. During medieval time, it was common practice to glue pages of documents, manuscripts or older books to obtain the necessary pasteboard to make the covers. Subsequent researches led to identification of a fragment of 26 pages belonging to one of the two editions of the Bible that appeared in Venice, in 1478.The copy is very rare on the territory of Romania, other two copies still being known: that from the National Library and Szekler Museum of Ciuc from Miercurea Ciuc. 114 copies are known worldwide, without being included the one presented here, which completes information known about this incunabulum and at the same time provides a detailed picture over activity carried out by the National Centre of Conservation and Restoration of Old Book from Alba Iulia.
