Summary/Abstract: Minologhion (Menaion), Blaj, 1781 is part of batch of old book belonging to Orthodox Archbischopric of Alba Iulia, that was restored at the National Centre of Conservation and Restoration of Old Book. Following action of physical-mechanical, physical-chemical and biological factors, in a environment with unstable microclimate, the volume presents different forms of deterioration, evident both on body the book and binding elements. Its deterioration can be explaneid by the fact that throughout time it stayed in an environment where humidityand absenceof light predominated, it being also caused by natural ageing and functional wear. Restoration of the volume determined consolidation of support structure, this being introduced within the exhibit circuit.
