PERFORMANCE - A MACROECONOMIC APPROACH

Summary/Abstract: At the macroeconomic level, the performance means the capacity to attain a certain objective. The objectives are specific to the functions of entities. A large variety of indicators contribute to the appreciation of performance. At macroeconomic level, the performance represents the capacity of the economy to realize a sustainable growth, the stability of prices, full employment and equilibrium of external payments balance. The fluctuations of economic activity conduct to different values of performance, which are related to the different phases of the evolution of economy. There are more solutions to diminish the effects of actual crisis and to have again economic growth; in such a way that we can appreciate that there is performance in economic activity.
