Summary/Abstract: Curiosity is the trigger because of which people are trying to discover something new, something they have not discovered yet. It makes them perceive the truth and research earlier events to make new ones. The purpose of this research is an attempt to reveal cognition about the present based on scientific facts about events, phenomena and objects from the past. From the education perspective, schools have important role in transmitting knowledge from the past, but also in making ready young people for the future. Besides schools, an important resource are museums, that can serve as a great source of knowledge. Museum is a public institution that serves society and its development. Its purpose is studying, educating, broadening of horizons and piquing curiosity. In current Curriculum in Canton Sarajevo, visiting museums as one of the important sources of knowledge isn’t mandatory, so schools are trying to enrich schooling and make it interesting by visiting museums through curricular and extracurricular. The aim is to research how much museums are allowed to encourage learning and develop students’ creativity in education system. The question is also, how museums present contents and if they offer a possibility for students to learn those specific contents in a different and creative way, considering the fact that most of our museums do not have museum pedagogues. Although this opportunity is not recognized enough, museums with rich contents can be used as expanded space of a classroom, a space for developing creativity and lifelong learning. The intention of this research is to indicate to an opportunity of creating such education system, in which museum could serve as capacity in which is a significant part of a quality teaching process takes place.
