Summary/Abstract: Education plays a huge role in forming attitude of understanding and accepting in people with different backgrounds and characteristics. Tendencies of education point out how imoportant all students needs are in teaching process. Nowadays everything is marked with the need for rescpect of different cultural, ethical, religious, economic and politic values but also individuals and their efforts in teaching process. Education is expected to offer ways for improvement of individuals' lives, to be based on protection of human rights and democratic principles, all with a goal of raising consciousness of linguistic, religious, gender and racial identity but also of idea od mutual understaning and respect. The question is, are students of teaching studies prepared to deal with all the challenges in the teaching process? The goal of this research is to determine level of students' knowledge of basics of intercultural education,as well as the level of understanding, respecting and accepting differences through the systems of higher education. The research analized the presence of intercultural contents in some of the departmens in Faculty of Philosophy of University of Sarajevo during bachelor studies.Education is supposed to develop new, tolerant behavior patterns. That includes changes in mentality, so according to that, the research examined students' attitude towards understanting and acceptance. The research shows how important it is for universities to follow social trends and to prepare future teachers to be sensible and attentive towards differences, which is highly required in our education system that is based on inclusion and interculturalism.
