Summary/Abstract: The Upper Palaeolithic in the eastern Carpathians is characterized by a high density of sites, mostly attributed chronologically to the Gravettian or the Epigravettian. In order to identify some differences and/ or similarities in the cultural manifestations of the communities at the sites located between the Carpathians and the Dniester, our study will focus on the analysis of the ornaments in this region. The results indicate the existence of periods in which such objects are numerous in certain sites, as well as notable differences in the types of personal ornaments for occupations chronologically close in time.
