The importance of the intercultural factor in foreign language teaching

Summary/Abstract: The present work presents some definitions and points of view on the phenomenon of interculturality and the importance of the intercultural factors in the process of learning a new language. Intercultural competence has become a key competence for the majority of people and not just a small elite and students should be very familiar with these terms and be prepared to live and work in an intercultural and globalized world.
