Considering this activity as a component of popular education, at the end of the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth century, the Bacau’s teachers tried to bring to light the national port, in the area in which they were operating, but, also they convinced the villagers that there was a need to revive traditional crafts and domestic industry as a condition of preserving the national specificity.
