Summary/Abstract: Humility is a concept that is most often explained in religious and philosophical terms. In recent decades, there has been an increased interest in specific manifestations of humility as a virtue in the fields of medicine, social sciences and education. The article aims to discuss contemporary interpretations of humility in a pedagogical context, focusing on the views of Western educators and scholars.
