Summary/Abstract: social pedagogy; UKThe article draws upon an analysis of scholarly publications and analytical reports on the theme of social pedagogy as a relatively new theoretical and practical paradigm in the English-speaking world. Key interpretations on the social-pedagogical conception are presented, with a focus on the views of authors from the UK, where the introduction of the social pedagogy in the traditional for the Anglo-Saxon social work fields is treated with the required caution and critical self-reflection.
