Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on working with poetry within a therapeutic intervention and literary education of dyslexic children and children with associated learning disabilities. The text also introduces reflections and knowledge of appropriate diagnostic procedures that the teacher should use in teaching before selecting a suitable poem or poetic technique. The author documents the importance of verses, rhythm and onomatopoeia in young readers and children with dyslexic disorder and provides an overview of basic techniques for working with poems. In the conclusion, he also considers the main problems that accompany the teaching of literary education and poetry in schools in the current hectic and multimedia times.
