Summary/Abstract: A predominantly philological reading of the New Testament reveals to the reader a network of unique meanings of the vocabulary of the Gospels. The article examines New Testament terms filled with many meanings, highlighted from a linguistic perspective. A dictionary of figurative meanings of fundamental New Testament terms would be of great use for the Christian education of young people.
