Summary/Abstract: The poet Gheorghe Pituţ was one of the lay disciples of Father Stăniloae, enjoying the noble friendship of the great theologian and benefiting, on his recommendation, from a scholarship abroad. Strongly influenced by Blaga, at the confluence of expressionism and postmodernism, Gheorghe Pituţ’s poetry also has a religious coordinate that is too little noticed by literary criticism. This component of his lyric is built upon an inner rustle that is in a permanent relationship with God. In the past, this relationship has been neglected by literary critics, being considered a pre-Christian symbol or a poetic artifice.
