Summary/Abstract: Romania's cross-border areas began to develop more actively after Romania joined the European Union. Therefore, the operational programs for cross-border cooperation within the European Union have been developed in the Romania-Hungary cross-border area. In this article there is a beginning in the study of the respective topic, in which we set out to reflect the evolution of the labor market in the counties and border regions between Romania and Hungary, the evolution of GDP in the border counties and to identify the most important priorities to continue. The topic with deeper researchers highlights the strengths and weaknesses, what indicators we need to calculate and how we can develop this cross-border cooperation with neighboring countries in the field of labor market.
