Summary/Abstract: In order to understand himself and to understand the world around him, the child needs to penetrate the meaning of the symbols, of the metaphors that give meaning to social models. The story leads the child to that enchanted room where he meets the ideal I, the hero in him, his personal dream, his potential. As Sheldon Cashadan (2009) rightly said, only by destroying the witch we can make sure that the bad parts of the self are eradicated and that the good ones will prevail.
