Henryk Sienkiewicz, "Without dogma" - a new approach

Summary/Abstract: The paper introduces two new approaches to be found in the famous Sinekiewicz’s novel Bez dogmatu (Without Dogma), namely the concept of the genius without portfolio, a man of great potential and capabilities but of little or no practical results and contribution to his community; this character is no longer seen as a “superfluous” and useless man but as a prospective contributor to the advance of his community if properly developed. The second concept is that of the career woman, who can express herself and feel fulfilled without a love relation to a man.
