The influence of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński on Polish society. Is the inheritance (un)recognized? Remarks

Summary/Abstract: The following paper was mainly written in 2001, when the Polish Parliament announced the Year of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński. The author looked for testimonials about the Primate of the Millennium. Although the press inquiry was carried out, the study was mainly based on interviews with consecrated persons aged over 30, but also lay people who actively participated in the life of the Catholic Church. The author was particularly interested in the recalled contexts related to Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński. Research has shown that in 2001 the memory of the Primate of the Millennium survived mainly in incidental personal memories.
