Summary/Abstract: The study presents the phases of the implementation of the plans of a group of Lviv women to found the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The attitude of the Catholic clergy to this initiative in the dioceses of Lviv, Krakow, the Apostolic Administrator of Lower Silesia in Wrocław and the Apostolic Administration of Opole Silesia in the years 1946–1952 is shown. The attention was drawn to the obstacles that stood in the way of obtaining a canonical act of erecting a new congregation. The problem was developed on the basis of documents stored in the archives of the Opole Diocese.
