Summary/Abstract: This article deals with degradation of peroxide explosive hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD). Samples of HMTD were prepared using different catalysts. Degradation products of HMTD were follow up by gas chromatography in combination with mass spectometry. Significant differences in the amounts of degradation products between washed and unwashed HMTD samples and between samples prepared with different catalysts were found.
