Summary/Abstract: Recognition of persons and things is one of the so-called special ways of proving in criminal proceedings. The result of recognition is often the key evidence for the conclusion about the guilt of the accused. In the present case care must be taken to ensure the procedural purity of the taking of such evidence and if possible to strengthen its probative value.
