Summary/Abstract: Organized crime is undoubtedly one of the most serious problems of current society. It is a phenomenon affecting many areas of civic society in different ways and with different intensity, thus infringing the rights of individuals. It also poses a significant threat to law-abiding democratic state and its democratic system. It is a phenomenon, which has been flourishing especially in areas with ineffective legislation and public authority. In this way it should be regarded as one of the biggest safety risks not only abroad, but also in the Czech Republic.
