Summary/Abstract: The moment we realize it is necessary to choose associates who have greater knowledge and competences in a business, we are on the right path to success. Higher-level managers must commit to the vision and mission of the organization, make strategic plans and ensure optimal business conditions. Most other tasks and activities must be delegated to subordinates who are qualified to perform them. Delegating work necessarily requires the transfer of authority to subordinates, thus making them responsible for the work entrusted. Delegation is a complex and demanding process that requires specific knowledge and skills, that is, experience. Delegation has four key determinants. (Buble, M., 2010.) First, the tasks or activities which are being delegated. Second, in addition to the task, it is necessary to delegate a certain amount of authority. Third, the person to whom the job is delegated becomes responsible for its execution, with partial personal accountability for the task executed. Fourth, delegation is generally made to immediate subordinates. However, refraining from delegating may not only be the result of lack of knowledge and inexperience but may also be the result of other phenomena, such as distrust towards associates. This mainly refers to state and public services in which managers have limited opportunities in selecting their closest associates and where associates are "imposed" upon them. Therefore, it is ideal when senior managers themselves choose associates in whom they have unlimited confidence given their competencies. Ultimately, we then have a management that can dedicate itself to the most important tasks, and on the other hand, satisfied associates who have the authority and responsibility to perform the tasks entrusted to them. The knowledge of top management that they can always rely on associates with minimum risk in terms of success, i.e., that they have handed over the job in the right hands" makes management at higher levels possible. It is necessary to organize the work in such a way that we can abandon it at any time.
