Summary/Abstract: In order to fill the existing knowledge gap, a series of studies was carried out, the fundamental aim of which is to assess the knowledge of the legal aspects of modern technologies represented by Polish managers and owners of production companies operating in the agricultural machinery sector. The main burden of the research within the presented area was put on desk research analysis covering the available literature sources and an expert debate on the subject of legal aspects of new technologies. In order to transfer the subject matter to the level of the agricultural machinery sector and to assess the discrepancy between the postulated level and the current state, the analysis used the results of a study conducted among a deliberately selected group of enterprises, in which the respondents provided answers regarding the anticipated level of knowledge regarding the legal aspects of new technologies. This study was a starting point for defining the gaps in the assimilation (self-assessment) of the microfoundations of new technology-oriented managerial legal knowledge articulated in the research model.
