THE RESTORATION OF AN OLD BINDING BOOK: THE CHIRIACODROMION, BĂLGRAD, 1699

Summary/Abstract: The restoration of a copy from Chiriacodromion, Bălgrad, 1699, has allowed giving back the health to the book and to reconstitute the original elements of the binding. After the restoration of the leaves, the book was resewn on outline nerves, which were able to be reconstitute, basis on the marks left on the tab. The capital-band was woven on string care. After the covers were attached, the leather covers were rehydrated and the missing parts were being complete. Next, the book was drawed on covers. Following this way, the original elements were being Kept. The book is stored in a protection box.
