ПРОСВЕТИТЕЛОТ И СВЕТЕЦ КИРИЛ ПЕЈЧИНОВИЌТЕТОЕЦ ДО ПОТОМСТВОТО: „ДА СЕ ЗНАЕ, ДА СЕ ЗНАЕТ“
ENLIGHHMENT REPRESENTATIVE AND OL MAN KIRIL PEJHINOVIKJTETOEC, TO THE FUTURE GENERATIONS: “KNOWING, KNOWIN”

Summary/Abstract: Kiril Pejchinovikj is the most prominent representative of the first Macedonian literary generation at the beginning of the 19th century. He is the author of original texts written in the everyday language of the people (Tetovo dialect), composer and translator. Sinaitski very wisely expressed his views about Pejchinovikj’s work and his contribution, saying that the language of the people is the “key” made from iron and steel that can open the common man’s heart, while neither the golden nor the silver key can do that (the Old Church Slavonic and the Russian language).Recently, extremely important news is that that the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric with the decision of the Holy Synod canonized as holy men: the Hegumen of Leshok and the educator and teacher of the people Kiril Pejchinovikj Tetoec as the Holy Venerable Kiril of Leshok, and the educator and hegumen Joakim Krchovski as the Holy righteous Joakim. The canonization is an enormous acknowledgment of the first generation of educators, especially due to the fact that Pejchinovikj has given sermons and speeches and has taught people to read and write in order to “know and understand”, to remember and to leave a legacy for the future generations.
