Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present and discuss the phenomenon of „travel literature” as propaganda regarding the USSR after World War 2. We focus in our article on the journey in the Soviet Union made by Romanian writer George Călinescu, one of the most famous Romanian intellectuals that became a „fellow traveler” and propagandist of the Romanian Communist Party after 1944.
