Summary/Abstract: This paper provides a systematic literature review of studies investigating maternal and infant health apps assisting digital health-based maternity care. The analysis highlights that fertility data tracking and monitoring can be pivotal in reproductive health. Throughout January 2022, we performed a quantitative liter- ature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases, with search terms including “menstrual cycle tracking apps” + “fertility and reproductive data,” “mobile health care management,” and “technological self-surveillance.” As we inspected research published between 2013 and 2022, only 144 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria. By eliminating controversial findings, outcomes unsubstantiated by replication, too imprecise material, or having similar titles, we decided upon 21, generally empirical, sources. Data visualization tools: Dimensions (bibliometric mapping) and VOSviewer (layout algorithms). Reporting quality assessment tool: PRISMA. Methodological quality assessment tools include: AMSTAR, Distiller SR, MMAT, and ROBIS.
