Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The reconstruction and analysis of the ideas and concepts of the pedagogy of accompaniment and mercy (developed by Francis), are to contribute to its better understanding. Also, the consideration of the interpretation of the dynamics and tensions of the Ignatian pedagogy of Pope Francis in the non-transparent world is to give a better understanding of this interpretation. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: Reconstructions and analyses (as a mode of research procedure) are used to consider how the ideas and concepts of analyzed pedagogies are interpreted and understood, and what are their sources. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: Following the postulates of continuous intellectual search and continuous learning, an attempt is made to discern the assumptions (including the tacit background) of the pedagogies of accompaniment and mercy. RESEARCH RESULTS: To bring closer the sense of the ideas and notions of the pedagogy of accompaniment and mercy. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: To encourage educators to get acquainted carefully and critically with the interpretations of Ignatian pedagogy and to expand the circle of participants in the discussion on this pedagogy.
