Summary/Abstract: The article examines the phenomenon of professional meaning-making and its role in reducing the contradiction between the subjective and objective aspects of the profession. It highlights the factors of spiritual coherence and stability of the teacher: activation of the inner self and self-esteem, updating of the existing knowledge about oneself, restoration or rethinking of the meaning of the pedagogical work, and reflection on being in one's own vocation. The importance of making sense of teachers' pedagogical activity is justified, seeking ways of reducing the basic professional contradiction between the subjective and objective aspects of the profession.
