The rationale for criminalizing the exploitation of prostitution

Summary/Abstract: The subject of protection of the crimes of exploitation of prostitution is, first of all, decency, and in the case of exploitation of juvenile prostitution, also their sexual freedom. Most often these are crimes without victims, like procurement, pimping and mercenary activities that take place based on a voluntary exchange of goods and services, which does not apply to forced prostitution. The study aims to indicate the justifications for their criminalization. There are doubts as to its substantive legitimacy, which, however, is necessary for the abolitionist system, which is the main conclusion of the research.
